Garwood Planning Bd. OKs 24-Hour Gym

GARWOOD — The Garwood Planning Board met August 23, at which time members discussed an application for a certificate of nonconformity for 551 Spruce Avenue. To the best of the public’s knowledge, the two-family home was built in 1942 and has not undergone any changes since 1957. The section of the borough where the dwelling is located initially was a two-family zone, but was later changed to a one-family zone in 1974. It is not known for sure why an application was not brought up to the planning board then. The board motioned to approve the application.
