GARWOOD -- After recently advancing new Municipal Shade Tree and Shade Tree Officer Ordinances to the Garwood Borough Council, and being successful in getting them adopted, the Garwood Shade Tree Advisory Board held its first meeting on September 6. Charged with developing a comprehensive master plan for the planting, maintenance and removal of plantings on Borough property, and responding to requests/ complaints from residents about shade trees within the Borough rights-ofways, Board members look forward to improving Garwood’s management, shade tree canopy and overall tree plantings.
