Gratitude for Fun and Emily
How old is too old to have fun? Members of an organization that fosters connection and provides activities for people over 50 gathered recently to revise their tagline and logo. Some thought the existing logo, “Your Home · Your Neighborhood · Your Future,” didn’t accurately capture the vibrancy and camaraderie of the group. Words proposed for the new tagline included caring, connection, purpose, and service, among others. One person suggested “fun.” Aghast, several members decried the term as “frivolous, not what older people care about.”
