New York Polyphony Enlightens Through Steeple Concerts
WESTFIELD – Polyphony. Unless you were a music major in college, you might not recognize the term right away. An audience at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church got to see it at its finest at the Steeple Concert at St. Paul’s 5th Season series on Sunday, January 21. Geoffrey D. Williams, Countertenor, and Craig Phillips, bass/baritone, the two original singers of New York Polyphony along with tenor Steven Caldicott Wilson and tenor Andrew Fuchs showed the audience what the a cappella music sounds like. Performing compositions from the 12th century to the 20th century, the quartet took a near full house audience on a fantastic musical journey.
