WESTFIELD – Get ready to journey into the enchanting world of Arendelle as Edison Intermediate School (EIS) Theater Guild in Westfield presents its spring student musical, Disney’s Frozen, Jr. This magical theatrical production brings the beloved characters and timeless music of Disney’s hit animated film to life on the EIS stage for three performances at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, and 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23. Directed by longtime EIS Theater Guild Director Michael Altmann, Frozen, Jr. promises to delight audiences of all ages with its heartwarming story, unforgettable songs and dazzling performances. From the iconic sister duo of Elsa and Anna to the lovable snowman Olaf and the rugged ice harvester Kristoff, students will capture the essence of these beloved characters with charm, talent and enthusiasm.
‘We are so excited to bring the magic of Frozen, Jr. to our school stage,’ said Mr. Altmann, who has directed EIS student productions for more than two decades. ‘This production has been a true collaboration, with students pouring their hearts and creativity into every aspect of the show. Together, we’re creating a magical experience that will warm hearts and inspire audiences of all ages, and we can’t wait to share their hard work and dedication with our community.’
In addition to Mr. Altmann, the production team for Frozen, Jr. is led by Musical Director Stephen Markowski and Choreographer Janine Dayson. The student cast and crew includes more than 100 students, including Edison Intermediate School eighth graders Rylan Bowie, Fiona Brown, Lucy Burgoon, Hannah Doll, Katie Dragan, Tziona Gras, Anish Iyer, Steven Kapsalis, Corabelle Martin, Naya Patel, Moss Paul, Lidia Wright and DingwenYang.
Featuring stunning costumes, enchanting sets and toe-tapping musical numbers, Frozen, Jr. is a mustsee event for families and Disney fans alike. The EIS Theater Guild invites the local community to join in embarking on an unforgettable journey through the wintry landscapes of Arendelle, where love, courage and the power of sisterhood reign supreme.
