The Oak Knoll Royals girls lacrosse team got the best of the Westfield Blue Devils on April 8 to improve its record to 3-1. Two days later, the Blue Devils regrouped and defeated Mountain Lakes, 14-8.
Blue Devil Alice Manzo netted three goals and an assist against the Royals and Kate Watson finished with a goal, two ground balls and two draw controls. Gillian Cohen scored once. Abi Mokrzycki flicked in a goal and had a pair of draw controls. Erin Hazard scooped a ground ball and Maeve Wojcik had three draw controls. Julianna Molinelli had a ground ball. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Czarnecki made four saves and allowed seven goals. Lauren Furey made three saves and yielded eight goals.
Sophia Loscert recorded seven goals, an assist, three ground balls and two draws for the Royals. Lauren Dietrich had two goals and two ground balls. Beatrice Burton finished with a goal, three assists, six draw controls and two ground balls. Carson Didder had a goal, four draws and four ground balls. Maris McGinty had a goal, ground ball and two draw controls.
Heather DeCesare scored once. Carly Caesar had five ground balls and two draws. Ellie Cusimano scored once. Goalkeepers Grace Smith and Cat Jordan recorded three saves and two saves, respectively.
