The visiting Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School girls lacrosse team had a wild showdown with Montville but prevailed, 13-12, on April 16. Juliana Doran led the 4-3 Raiders with four goals, an assist and eight draw controls.
Raider Kayla Murray recorded four goals, four draw controls and a ground ball. Grace Cawley scored twice and scooped two ground balls. Carina DiLollo finished with a goal, assist, three draws and a ground ball. Rachel Levy had a goal and an assist. Erin Ryan finished with a goal, two ground balls and a draw. Goalkeeper Elissa Steingart recorded eight saves.
Julia Swanson was the big-time producer for 3-4 Montville with seven goals, five assists, five ground balls and seven draw controls. Parker Failla scored twice. Sam Dorenbush finished with a goal, three draws and two ground balls. Briar Failla scored once. Goalie Angelina Vecchione recorded 13 saves.
