The AL Johnson High School softball team unloaded on the 10-4 Governor Livingston Highlanders, 13-4, on April 23. Winning pitcher Cassie Conforti belted a pair of home runs and had four RBI. On April 25, the 76 Crusaders stunned the 9-4 Jonathan Dayton Bulldogs, 4-1. Conforti and winning pitcher Krista LaBianco combined their efforts on the mound against the Bulldogs.
Liz Fitzharris went 4-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored against the Highlanders. Liz Yanni went 3for-5 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored. LaBianca went 3for-3 with a home run, a double, five RBI and a walk. Madden Puerari singled, walked and scored once. Gianna Calleja singled and scored. Lacey Vill scored once. Isabella Todaro went 1-for-1 with an RBI. Gabby Muretta went 1-for-1 and Shannon Lancellotti walked and scored.
Lily Sandholm whacked a home run and singled for GL. Vanessa Popola had two singles and two RBI. Chelsea Keisewetter singled twice.
Fitzharris did it again against the Bulldogs, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored. Yanni doubled and LaBianca went 1for-3 and scored once. Vill singled, walked and scored. Puerari had an RBI and Conforti walked once.
Losing pitcher Lila Carroll went 2for-3 with a walk.
