The seventh-seeded Cranford High School girls lacrosse team rumbled over 10th-seeded Montville, 17-6, in the first round off the North Jersey, Group 2 Tournament in Cranford on May 22. Shea Matheson finished with three goals, two assists, three draw controls and two ground balls for the 11-8 Cougars. Kate Zambito had three goals, two assists, a draw and a ground ball. Lylah Wilhelm had two goals, two assists and 10 draw controls.

Sofia Lijo had a goal and two assists. Kristina Lowe had a goal, assist, five ground balls and three draws. Lila Fernandez had a goal, assist and two ground balls. Carly Lynch had a goal, assist and three ground balls. Shaye Burns scored twice. Emerson Murphy had a goal and three ground balls. Lexi Kruk had a goal and a ground ball as did Emma Callahan. Claire Gregersen had an assist and a ground ball. Corey Botsakos scooped three ground balls. Keepers Ashlyn Quigley and Caitlin McDonald recorded seven saves and two saves, respectively.
