Perfection took a side step, so it all came down to Game 3 between top-seeded Swan Hotel & Suites and second-seeded Deegan Roofing for the Union County Senior 60+ A Division championship at Memorial Field 3 in Linden on August 5. Unlike the 17-13 slugfest in Game 2 won by the Deeganators, Game 3 was controlled by cagy pitching and strategically positioned defense with the nod and the crown going to the Swans in a 7-4 victory.
