The 4-5 Blue Devils had trouble catching up to running back Chase Calarco, who carried 15 times for 125 yards, including all three touchdowns. TuckerYoung carried 12 times for 62 yards, quarterback Jack O’Callaghan carried twice for five yards and RJ McCleary carried three times for seven yards.
Blue Devil sophomore quarterback Jordan Walsh carried 16 times for 78 yards. Junior quarterback Cole Weidler was sacked for a nine-yard loss and senior running back Blake Rudow carried 15 times for 73 yards. Walsh completed three of six passes for 97 yards and Weidler completed three of six for 32 yards, including a pair of interceptions. Senior tight end Colin Coyle had three receptions for 33 yards. Senior wide receiver Sebastian Magherini had two receptions for 85 yards and Cooper Gleason had an 11-yard reception.
O’Callaghan completed 11 of 16 passes for 75 yards. Calarco had two of them for 27 yards. Chase Deluise had two receptions for 23 yards, Chuck Goebbert had two receptions for 22 yards and Shane Hanlon had a three-yard grab. Tucker Canning had four receptions, resulting in no yardage.
Calarco scored on a 31-yard run in the first quarter and Pete Vafidis kicked the first of three points after to give the Highlanders a 7-0 lead. Calarco made the halftime score 140 with a seven-yard run then added the finishing touch with a three-yard bash in the fourth quarter.
Defensively, Blue Devil Pat McGovern recovered a fumble and Jake Zemsky forced a fumble. Highlanders Calarco and Jeremiah Rivera had the interceptions.
