The Summit High School Hilltopper boys swim team got the best of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders, 95-76, on December 10. The Raiders managed to win three individual events – Luke Iannotta in the 200-individual medley at 2:14.54, Harrison McClure in the 100-backstroke at 58.78, Dylan Condell in the 50-free at 23.74 – and finished 1-2 in the 400-free relay with Achi Balakrishnan, Ryan Scarpa, Ben Sophmer and Luke Iannotta at 4:03.13, followed by Brian Mitchell, Chris DeGennaro, Jacob Goykhman and John Buckley at 4:05.54.
After Summit took first in the 200medley relay, McClure, Matt Iannotta, Alex Holston and Condell finished second at 1:44.76. Summit’s Charlie Moon won the 200-free at 2:04.15 and Raider Jayden Fevier finished third at 2:12.24. Jack Vargas led a Summit sweep in the 100-fly at 57.38.
Moon at 52.62 and Ryan Fox at 53.85 finished 1-2 in the 100-free, followed by Ryan Scarpa at 57.85. Dan Qu at 5:27.98 and Pietro Bonini at 6:03.31 finished 1-2 in the 500-free, followed by Luke Iannotta at 6:09.51. Moon, Wil Roselle, Charlie Vlass and Gene Kiselova finished first in the 200-free relay in 1:38.13. Raiders Chris DeGennaro, EJ Coville, BenTravnicek and James Allen took third at 1:51.24.
Kiselova finished first in the 100breaststroke at 1:08.49 and Raider Connor Scarpa finished third at 1:13.41. Holston was third in the 100back at 1:05.32.
