The Westfield High School boys basketball team opened its season with a 45-28 victory over the hosting Union Farmers on December 18. Senior Ty’shawn Pearson led the Blue Devils with 23 points, including a 3pointer, swiped seven steals and added eight rebounds and a block. On December 21, the Blue Devils were defeated by the top-10 Union Catholic Vikings, 71-45.
