Blue Devils Sink JPS Hawks; ‘Sweep’ BrH2O for Swim Title

Warming up with an easy victory over the JP Stevens Hawks set up the second-seeded Westfield Blue Devils swim team with another annual showdown against the top-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan Panther boys for the North Jersey, Section 2, Group A Championship. First, the Blue Devils sank the Hawks, 116-54, in the semifinal in Westfield on February 10 then a sweep in two events catapulted them to a 92-78 triumph over the Panthers at the Raritan Bay YMCA in Perth Amboy on February 13.
