The fifth-seeded Westfield High School boys basketball team advanced to the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 semifinal round by ousting the fourth-seeded Piscataway Chiefs, 71-53, on March 3 in Piscataway. Two days later, the Blue Devils were downed by the top-seeded, No. 2ranked, 26-3 Plainfield Cardinals in Plainfield.
