Editorial: Property-Tax Bills Continue to Soar: When Will Trenton Find Solution?
It was disheartening to read recently that, according to a study by WalletHub, New Jersey continues to have the highest property taxes in the country. We ranked last — 51st, including the District of Columbia — when it comes to heaviest property-tax burdens, with Garden State property owners paying an average of $10,095 in 2024, according to new data from the Department of CommunityAffairs (DCA), the first time that average has topped the $10,000 mark.
