The Wedding Singer, a high-energy, feel-good musical based on the beloved 1998 film. This month, Arthur L. Johnson High School is thrilled to bring the show to the stage, offering a fun and heartwarming evening. The musical, set in 1985, follows Robbie Hart, played by senior Chris Bacek, a charming yet lovably jaded wedding singer who gets a second chance at love after a series of comedic and romantic misadventures. Along the way, he befriends Julia, played by senior Gabriella Romano, a kind-hearted waitress searching for her happily-ever-after. With a catchy score, vibrant characters, and lots of laughs, The Wedding Singer will surely have audiences tapping their toes and singing along.

“We are so excited to share this wonderful show with our school and our community,” said Director Peter Nevargic. “It’s a great mix of 80’s nostalgia, romance, and comedy, perfect for high school students to perform. Our cast and crew have worked incredibly hard to bring this energetic and heartfelt story to life and for audiences to share their enthusiasm.”

So come join this talented cast for a rousing evening of bright lights and big hair on April 3rd, 4th & 5th at 7 p.m. in the ALJ auditorium.
