Garwood Public Library Hosts Professional Musher
GARWOOD — Musher Karen Land brought a taste of the wild north to Union County last week when she and her sled dog, an Alaskan Husky named Noggin, turned up at the Garwood Public Library to talk to local kids about her experiences out on the ice. “Our dogs always come first,” she said Thursday while the youngsters gathered around her on the library floor to pet Noggin and pose for pictures. “No matter what we might be feeling in the middle of a race — whether we’re cold, or tired, or hungry — our dogs always come first.”
