WESTFIELD — The Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library has announced the dates for the organization’s 50th Annual Used Book Sale, as well as those days leading up to the event when members of the community are invited to donate books for the sale.
Last year, more than 25,000 books were donated by local residents to offer to customers at the book sale. This year’s sale will again feature books for infants, children, teens and adults; fiction and nonfiction; hardcover books and paperbacks; bestselling authors; classics; cookbooks; history; art; science; science fiction; biographies; sports; gardening; selfhelp and more. Most books will range in price from 50 cents to $3.
Book donations can be dropped off on tables next to the library book-drop boxes in the library parking lot. The Friends can only accept books in good condition. The group cannot accept textbooks, magazines, VHS tapes, encyclopedias, dated or damaged books, as they will not be saleable.
