Holiday Events to Continue With Music in Westfield

WESTFIELD — The “Welcome Home to Westfield” Holiday events in Westfield will include musical performances in downtown stores on Thursday evening and Saturday and Sunday afternoons in December.

“We enjoy inviting our local musical talent to perform in the downtown stores during the holidays. It adds that ‘Hometown Feeling’ to the shopping experience,” said Debbie Schmidt, Executive Director of the Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

On Thursday, December 16, at 6: 30 p. m., Anna Evans will play her trumpet

at Banana Republic, 137 Central Avenue. Lancaster Ltd, 76 Elm Street will host Tracy Dalton, performing on her clarinet, at 7 p. m.

On Saturday, December 18, from 23: 30 p. m., the Music Studio Chamber Orchestra will be playing at Chico’s, 206 East Broad Street.

On Sunday, December 19, at 2 p. m. Donny Williams will play his string bass at Lancaster Ltd., and Theresa Kesel & Eleanor Young will play their violins at Chico’s. At 3 p. m., Michael Needleman will perform on his violin at Talbot’s and Dan Zavaro will be playing his violin at Banana Republic.

GOING UP... The United Fund of Westfield has raised $527,198, or 85.3 percent, of its goal for the 19992000 campaign. “Securing the remaining funds to close the gap and reach our $620,000 goal is the most difficult task of the annual campaign,” explained Darielle Walsh, Campaign Chairwoman. “But the holiday period has traditionally been marked by additional donations, as Westfielders shows that we truly are a community united by caring.” Pledge cards and contributions may be sent to 301 North Avenue West, Westfield, 07090.
